DES MOINES, Iowa - COVID-19 numbers in Iowa generally continue to be lower than at the height of the pandemic, with seven new deaths and 181 new positive cases reported Tuesday morning.
Iowa's positive test rate is 5.2 percent, slightly up over the past couple weeks.
Daily reported deaths and hospitalizations have generally been falling over the past several weeks, with daily totals in the single-digits.
The Iowa Department of Public Health reports a rise in cases among adults age 18-40.
A total of 491,929 COVID-19 tests have been done in Iowa, with one-in-six Iowans tested.
