WASHINGTON, DC - Vice President Mike Pence is coming back to Iowa next Thursday (August 13th), his 11th trip to the state and 4th so far this year.
He's scheduled to deliver a speech in Des Moines promoting the Trump administration's policies.
A news release says he'll deliver remarks focused on President Donald Trump's "pro-growth agenda, the staunch rejection of socialist ideals and the administration’s unwavering support of law enforcement."
Pence is then scheduled to attend a town hall and a private dinner hosted by the Republican Party of Iowa, before returning to Washington that night.
Pence last visited Iowa in mid-June, when he toured the Winnebago plant in Forest City, and had lunch with Governor Kim Reynolds.
He previously traveled to state in May to visit with religious and agricultural leaders and attend a round-table discussion at Hy-Vee headquarters in West Des Moines.
That trip caused concerns when it was revealed that one of his staff members, Press Secretary Katie Miller, had tested positive for COVID-19.
