ROSEMONT, Illinois -- The Big Ten Conference won't play football this fall.
The Conference says is delaying all fall sports, including football, citing ongoing health and safety concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren says it became clear there was too much uncertainty on potential medical risks to it's student-athletes to compete this fall.
The Conference says will continue to evaluate a number of options for fall sports, including the possibility of playing in the spring.
The Big 10 is the first "Power 5" conference to announce a delay in it's football season.
