DES MOINES, Iowa -- MidAmerican Energy says everyone still without power in the Des Moines area can expect it to be restored by Saturday afternoon.

In a tweet from the company, they say they have over 2,000 people working on restoring power to those affected by the storms.

MidAmerican adds that people in Iowa City can also expect to have power restored by Saturday afternoon and everyone in the Quad Cities can expect power to be restored by Sunday morning.

MidAmerican spokesman Geoff Greenwood tells WHO13 within about four days they were able to restore power to 93% of their customers who were affected and expect that to reach 97% by Sunday morning.
