Two Men Charged With Attempted Murder For Shooting at Cars in Des Moines

DES MOINES, Iowa - Two men are charged with attempted murder for shooting at two cars Saturday night in Des Moines' East Village.

Officers say they found evidence of gunfire after victims reported they were shot at while driving near SE 14th Street and Maury Street around 11 p.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported.

Police located and arrested two suspects at around 1:15 Sunday morning at at 2nd Street and Market Street.

Eighteen year-old Malachi Herman and 22 year-old William Herman are charged with attempted murder and possession of marijuana. They were booked into Polk County Jail at about 3:45 am Sunday. Both men are also charged with trafficking in stolen weapons.
