WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - The West Des Moines School District is reporting 15 new cases of COVID-19 among students for the past week as of Wednesday night. Three additional staff members also have the virus.
More than 100 (107) students and 21 staff and district employees are now in quarantine as a result of the tests.
The distict says it's developing a dasboard to provide up to date numbers of new COVID-19 cases, which should be up and running by next Tuesday.
West Des Moines students attend classes either in-person or online. Families have until Friday to move from in-person to online learning for the fall semester. The West Des Moines district started classes on August 28th. Pre-school starts next Tuesday, September 8th.
