CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- A Cedar Rapids man is being sentenced to 30 years in federal prison, convicted of sexual exploitation of children in the Philippines.

Prosecutors say 65-year-old William Meyer was reportedly in the Philippines doing charitable work and admitted in court to making explicit Skype videos with children between 2012 and 2019.

At least six children were involved with the videos, including three prepubescent girls.

Meyer is also being fined $50,000 and has to serve a supervised release term of five years.
