Des Moines High School Students Plan March to Governor's Mansion

DES MOINES, Iowa - Students from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines are planning to march to the governor's mansion Monday at 9:30 am.

The Student March For Fairness is a protest against the state's requirement for schools conducting online only classes to suspend in-person sports.

Des Moines high school football games were played through last Friday, but the district is following state guidelines after it starts online only classes Tuesday.

The Roosevelt High students march is set to start from the school's parking lot and proceed to the governor's mansion on Terrace Hill.
