More Iowa School Districts Announce COVID-19 Adjustments After Outbreaks

IOWA – Two Iowa school districts are making adjustments after reporting COVID-19 cases.

The Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont school district southeast of Des Moines says a significant outbreak of during the first two weeks of school has led it to move to a Hybrid Learning plan.Students are being divided into two groups that will attend class on alternating days through October 2nd.Face masks are required, and there’ll be social distancing at lunch and during outdoor activities.

The Manson Northwest Webster School District in northern Iowa says its entire varsity football team will need to quarantine as a result COVID-19 cases.All homecoming activities are now postponed until the week of September 28-October 2.The district says it’s following guidelines put forth by the Iowa Department of Education and Iowa Department of a Public Health.
