Bars in four Iowa counties to re-open Wednesday

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is letting bars re-open in four counties.

A new proclamation, effective 5:00 p.m. Wednesday re-opens bars in Polk, Dallas, Linn, and Black Hawk counties.

Bars are staying closed in Johnson and Story counties.

Reynolds' proclamation says the adjusted measures announced Tuesday are in effect until midnight Sunday unless they are extended.

Bars in those six counties were closed last month as Iowa saw a spike in COVID-19 cases--especially among young people.
