Waukee to require masks in public places starting Friday

Everyone within the Waukee City Limits must wear a face covering in public starting on Friday.

Waukee Mayor Courtney Brown issued a proclamation that requires everyone within the Waukee city limits to wear a face covering when in public settings. This applies to persons three years of age and older with no health, religious or ability exemptions.

This action was taken in response to Iowa being labeled a “red zone” state by the White House Coronavirus Task Force due to its rise in positive COVID-19 cases.

You can read the full proclamation on the city's website here.
