Fort Dodge Group Asking for Random Acts of Kindness to Honor Fallen Pastor

FORT DODGE, Iowa - A group in Fort Dodge is asking residents to perform random acts of kindness in honor of Pastor Allen Henderson, who was killed last year.

The nonprofit Serving Our Servants (SOS) says its challenging local residents to "pay it forward" this Friday.

Henderson's church, St. Paul Lutheran Church, is providing free meals for police, fire fighters and EMS workers, and is holding a candlelight vigil Friday night in his honor.

SOS has a video on social meeting that explains its "pay it forward" challenge and offers prizes for people who take part.

Joshua Pendleton has been charged with robbery and first-degree murder in the case of Henderson's death.
