City of Davenport to Launch Small Business Relief Effort Amid Pandemic

DAVENPORT, Iowa - The city of Davenport is launching an effort to help small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The city will begin accepting applications for its Small Business Resiliency Project on October 15th.

The project will use about $900,000 of Community Development Block Grant funds awarded under the CARES Act. The funds are meant to provide financial relief to small business in hopes of retaining jobs and stabilizing local businesses.

The largest forgivable loan available is approximately $20,000 per business.
