(Des Moines, IA) -- The Polk County Sheriff's Office is looking for the driver of an SUV that crashed into the east gate of the Polk County Courthouse early Thursday morning. The Sheriff's Office says video shows a vehicle going west on Court Avenue that loses control on a turn and rams into the east gate. The video shows the driver traveling south and then west on Cherry, then north on 6th Street.
Investigators are asking for the public’s help with the identification of the vehicle and driver. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at (515)-286-3333.
