Windy conditions raising fire danger risk in Iowa

(Johnston, IA) -- There could be a higher risk for grass fires today. Winds are expected to be 20-to-30 miles per hour, with wind gusts of nearly 40-miles per hour.

The National Weather Service says since crops and vegetation is drying out now, a fire could spread very quick. Burn bans are in effect in about a dozen counties in Iowa.
