(Boone County, IA) -- The August 10th derecho that caused so much damage in Iowa, also impacted the Iowa Aboretum in Boone County. Officials say the hurricane force winds damaged 200-trees, and more than 133 specimen trees are being removed.
The Iowa Aboretum in Madrid has started a fundraising drive to support the restoration effort.
