ANKENY, Iowa -- Ankeny Police wants the public's help finding two people suspected of vandalism to a new extension of the High Trestle Trail.
Police say it happened just before 6:30 p.m. last Friday, as an unidentified man and woman rode their bicycles on the newly poured cement extension just east of the Ankeny Police Department.
They say footprints, tire tracks, and writing were left on about 300 yards of partially dry cement, which dried before the damage was found.
The city says it will cost as much as $75,000 dollars to replace the cement .
Anyone with information on the vandalism suspects should call Ankeny police.
