Ames Police ID shooting suspects

(Ames, IA) -- Ames Police have a 16-year-old in custody, and are looking for a second person accused in a shooting. Police say the juvenile and 19-year old Jonathan Thompson, both of Ames, are accused of shooting a man October 8th at Brookside Park, at 1325 6th Street. Nineteen-year-old Devin Lagrone of Marshalltown arrived at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a Des Moines Hospital. His condition is unknown.

Arrest warrants have been issued for both Thompson and the juvenile for Attempted Murder and First Degree Robbery.

Police say the juvenile was arrested yesterday (Wednesday) and taken to Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center in Eldora. Thompson remains at large.
