Yes, there will be a Beggars Night in the Des Moines area LIST

DES MOINES, Iowa -- There will be Halloween this year, despite the coronavirus pandemic.

The City of Des Moines is joining the list of local communities and cities that will have a Beggars’ Night this year, with COVID safety precautions.

Mayor Frank Cownie says Beggars’ Night will be Friday, October 30th with trick or treating between 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The safety precautions are the same for any gatherings of people: wear a mask and keep a social distance of six feet between people.

Altoona, Ankeny, Des Moines, Indianola, Johnston, Norwalk, Waukee, West Des Moines, Urbandale.

Friday, October 30, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
