MARION, Iowa - A man's in custody after crashing during an overnight police chase that started while he was driving the wrong way on Highway 151.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office tells WMT Radio News the chase was in a residential area on Hennessey Parkway in Marion when the car crashed into a ravine with trees, and turned on its side. The crash occurred just before 2 a.m. Monday
33-year-old Austin Hughe was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, and then was transported to the Linn County Jail on numerous charges including OWI.
The Marion Police Department is investigating the accident portion of the incident. The Marion Fire Department and Area Ambulance Service responded as well.
