IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The latest White House Coronavirus Task Force report keeps Iowa in the Red Zone, with one of the highest rates of new cases per-capita in the nation.

"The White House Task Force (on Coronavirus) is giving recommendations, and our state has decided not to implement those." Infectious Disease Specialist, Doctor Jorge (HORE-hay) Salinas (sah-LEE-nus) from the University of Iowa hospitals and Clinics tells KCRG.

"We are seeing the results of that." He said.

Polk County, Woodbury County, and Dubuque County continue to have the highest rates for new cases in Iowa.
