(Undated) -- Iowa's drought picture has improved from last week. This week's U.S drought monitor, however, still shows most of the state either abnormally dry or in some level of drought. The exception is far eastern Iowa and an area in far north central Iowa. A handful of counties in far northwest Iowa remain in extreme drought.
