DES MOINES, Iowa - The state of Iowa and the Iowa Department of Education is awarding nearly $4.4 million dollars to 43 Iowa colleges and universities to increase internet connectivity.
The state says the money will help online and remote learning and ensure students have access needed to continue classes amid the ongoing COVID pandemic.
Iowa Department of Education Director Dr. Ann Lebo says the funds will enable colleges and universities to seek reimbursements for investments made to increase internet access.
