Marion Police K9 Getting Special Body Armor

MARION, Iowa - A K9 officer with the Marion Police Department is getting special body armor.

A donation a from a non-profit group will outfit officer K9 Kain with a roughly $2,000 vest to protect against bullets and stab wounds.

The vest is being provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.

Vested Interest in K9s says it has provided more than 4,033 vests in all 50 states for a total value of $6.9 million, through private and corporate donations.
