WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - The West Des Moines Public Library will close temporarily as part of a multi-million dollar renovation project.
The library will close on October 27th and re-open on November 12th.
The $3 million dollar renovation has been underway for about a year and is scheduled to be completed in April of 2021.
West Des Moines Library card-holders will still be able to check out books in West Des Moines during the closure, using a library book vending machine located in Valley Junction. The vending machine cost nearly $100,000 and was paid for by the West Des Moines Public Library Friends Group.
