FEMA's approved $28-million for Iowa derecho damage

(Undated) FEMA has approved more than 28-(m) million dollars in derecho damage assistance for Iowa. That includes nearly 10-(m) million in Individual Assistance grants for more than 26-hundred people. The Small Business Administration has approved more than 19-(m) million dollars in disaster loans. The deadline to register with FEMA is November 2nd.

The federal assistance is for those in Benton, Boone, Cedar, Clinton, Jasper, Linn, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Scott, Story and Tama counties.

Registration and disaster information is still available by calling the FEMA helpline, going online or using the FEMA mobile app, in the following ways:
