CORALVILLE, Iowa - The city of Coralville has a mask order in place after an emergency proclamation from mayor John A. Lundell.
The order will stay in place until January 15th, and requires masks at indoor settings such as retail stores. Masks are required outdoors when keeping six feet away from others is not possible.
The proclamation does not include any penalties for violations of the order.
Businesses in Coralville that are open to the public must post signs at entrances instructing customers of their legal obligation to wear a face covering while inside.
Both Cedar Rapids and Iowa City have had mask orders in place for months, although neither one carries a fine. Iowa City last week extended its order until January 15th.
