CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Cedar Rapids Police confirm a man is dead after being hit by a car.
The 61-year-old man was struck at the intersection of Edgewood Road and 12th Ave. SW. Friday afternoon.
Police say the man, Patrick Morrissey, was taken to UIHC and later died Saturday.
The driver of the car, 53-year-old Karol Jones, was taken a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the crash.
