(Des Moines, IA) Iowa got a dusting a snow today, and several bursts of moderate snow. More is expected especially in northeast Iowa. Forecasters are predicting areas of northeast Iowa will receive between 1-4" of snow starting late tonight into early Tuesday morning. The storm system is expected to spread into far eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois overnight. Higher snow totals are expected north of I-80, before warmer air arrives and changes the snow to rain tomorrow morning.
Forecasters say drivers should expect snow-covered roads tonight, which will impact the Tuesday morning commute.
