Four More Iowa Bars Accused of Violating State's COVID-19 Orders

ANKENY, Iowa - Four more Iowa bars are accused of violating Governor Kim Reynolds COVID-19 health orders.

The Alcoholic Beverage Division has announced complaints against three bars in Dubuque - Mason Dixon Saloon, 1st & Main and Main Street Social - and one in Ames, AJ’s Ultra Lounge.

The bars are being cited for social distancing violations and failing to ensure people are seated while drinking.

Two of the bars - AJ’s Ultra Lounge in Ames and Mason Dixon Saloon in Dubuque - have agreed to pay a $1,000 fine.

In addition, the ABD announced that Pints Pub n Patio, in Des Moines also agreed to a $1,000 penalty after accusations of violations of the governor's orders.

The penalties are classified as civil, not criminal violations.
