WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Donald Trump awarded legendary Iowa wrestler and coach Dan Gable the nation's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
At an Oval Office Ceremony this morning, Trump called Gable the greatest wrestler of all time. President Trump lauded Gable's wrestling career, Olympic gold medal, and coaching career.
Gable is believed to be the first athlete from the sport of wrestling in American history to be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
