(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Attorney General's Office is warning about a COVID-19 vaccine scam. The scam involves a caller selling tickets to get on a waiting list. Iowa health officials say while the vaccine is not yet available to the public, there's no waiting list. The vaccine is free. The only fees would be if someone makes an appointment with their doctor, because clinics can charge office visit fees.
Aging Resources of Central Iowa says they're concerned older Iowans, who have been isolated due to the pandemic, may fall victim to the scam.
