(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Two people are hurt after separate stabbings in Cedar Rapids. Police were called to the 600-block of Center Point Road NE around 2 a.m. to investigate a report of a shooting and stabbing. Officers found shell casings in a parking lot and later found out a person who had been stabbed turned up at the hospital. Police say the injury is non-life threatening.
Police are also investigating a stabbing at the Kirkwood apartments before 9 last night. A 38-year old man was treated at a local hospital for a minor stab wound. He told police it happened in a parking lot. No word of arrests yet in either case.
