Iowa Man to Get 10 Years in Prison for Interstate Transport of Meth

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - An Iowa man faces at least 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges.

Christian Ramirez of Storm Lake admitted he was behind the delivery of seven pounds of methamphetamine from Colorado into Iowa last year.

Prosecutors say he conspired with other people to sell the drugs in Storm Lake.

Ramirez could get a maximum sentence of life prison and a $10,000,000 fine.

He pleaded guilty to the charges Tuesday in federal court. Sentencing before United States District Court Chief Judge Leonard T. Strand will be set after a presentence report is prepared.
