A man armed with a handgun was taken into custody after a standoff with police in Des Moines on Friday afternoon.
It happened just before 4 p.m. at a duplex north of the Des Moines Art Center.
After police negotiated with the man inside for about 30 minutes, he jumped out of a window with a handgun, before being taken in custody.
Police have yet to release the suspect's name.
