(DES MOINES, Iowa) -- Des Moines native and gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson East is expecting a baby.
Johnson East is married to former NFL player Andrew East, and the two already have a 14-month old daughter.
Johnson East made the announcement on Instagram, and is expecting to give birth in the summer.
She went to Valley High School and trained at a West Des Moines gymnastics studio before winning an Olympic gold medal on the balance beam in 2008.
The couple has been married since 2016. They shared a video on You Tube where the sex of the new baby would be boy.
