Hawkeyes Most Represented Team Ahead of NFL Division Championships

(Iowa City, Iowa) -- The final four NFL teams will take the field this weekend on the road to the Super Bowl, and no college will be better represented in the divisional championship games than the University of Iowa.

9 former Hawkeye players are on the active rosters of the Bills, Chiefs, Packers, and Buccaneers. The nine players include:

  • Ike Boettger, Buffalo Bills
  • AJ Epenesa, Buffalo Bills
  • Micah Hyde, Buffalo Bills
  • Anthony Hitchens, Kansas City Chiefs
  • Ben Niemann, Kansas City Chiefs
  • Anthony Nelson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Tristan Wirfs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Josh Jackson, Green Bay Packers
  • Christian Kirksey, Green Bay Packers

Three schools are in second place for most representation in the divisional championships with seven active players among the final four teams. Those schools are Michigan, LSU, and Mississippi State.
