Eastern Iowa bracing for winter storm

(Undated) -- Most of eastern Iowa will be under a winter storm warning starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. A large part of the state will be under a winter weather advisory.

The National Weather Service says freezing rain and sleet are also be possible as the system moves in Saturday. The bulk of the snow will fall Saturday night. Northeast Missouri, southeast Iowa and west central Illinois may end up seeing well over .75 inches of rain Saturday as temperatures rise into the upper 30s. The rain will likely change over to light snow in this area Saturday night.
