Urbandale Schools vote to transition to 100% in-person learning model

The Urbandale Community School District will be bringing kids back into classrooms full-time later this month in compliance with SF 160, requiring schools in Iowa to offer a 100% in-person learning option to parents and students.

The school board voted 6-0 with one abstention to adopt the new learning model, which will begin February 16th. Schools in Iowa are required to comply with the new law by February 15th, which is a previously scheduled Professional Development Day for the district.

Parents have until January 6th at 4 P.M. to decide which model they want their student to learn in.

You can find more information on the district's website.
