(Des Moines, IA) -- Thursday morning will see a cold front bring high winds, blowing snow, and falling temperatures across Iowa.
The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for counties in Central and North Central Iowa including Ames and Grinnell, and areas north beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
Central Iowa, as well as portions of South Central and Western Iowa will be under a Winter Weather advisory beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
Des Moines could see anywhere between two and five inches of snow Thursday.
Ames could get between one and four.
The National Weather Service says travel will be dangerous with falling temperatures throughout the day that could freeze any slush or wet snow.
They say wind chills will fall below freezing which could be dangerous for any stranded drivers.
