Congresswoman Cindy Axne in Self-Quarantine After COVID-19 Exposure

(Washington, D.C.) -- Iowa Congresswoman Cindy Axne is self-isolating after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

Axne's office confirms the staffer worked with Axne on her district tour last week and tested positive after experiencing symptoms earlier Wednesday. The Congresswoman says she's not experiencing any symptoms and plans, in the meantime, to self-quarantine until she can be tested. She says she plans to attend committee meetings and cast votes remotely as she awaits a test.

Axne's office says all events on last week's district tour required masks and observed social distancing.
