National Weather Service

OMAHA, Nebraska -- A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect in counties across Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa until 10 a.m.

The National Weather Service says wind chills in the negative-20s to negative-30s can be expected.

They say prolonged exposure can be dangerous with frostbite able to form on exposed skin within 30 minutes.

They say those temperatures will stick around through the week and into the weekend.

Friday and Saturday are forecast to be the coldest days with wind chills in the negative-30s or lower.
