(Washington D.C.) -- After first voting to subpoena documents and witnesses in the Trump impeachment trial Saturday, Senators moved forward with final arguments without hearing witnesses.
The vote to subpoena documents and witnesses pulled five Republican votes to cross party lines. It came after House Manager Raskin (D-MD) read a statement from Rep. Herrera Beutler (R-WA) about comments reportedly made by President Trump to Rep. McCarthy (R-CA) about the Jan. 6 riots.
It is likely there will be a call for a vote yet Saturday.
