"He has by far the largest voice and a big impact in my party," Senator Mitt Romney told the New York Times' DealBook yesterday. "I don’t know if he’s planning to run in 2024 or not, but if he does, I’m pretty sure he would win the nomination."
Romney also admitted that he's never voted for President Trump and that he wouldn't be doing so in the future either, saying he would find someone who "more represented the tiny wing of the party that I represent."
Romney - the junior Senator from Utah - is the only Republican who voted to convict President Trump in both impeachments.
Romney did say that "a lot can happen between now and 2024," but added that when compared to other potential GOP candidates, "he wins in a landslide."
Do you agree? If President Trump chooses to run in 2024 would he win the nomination that easily?
