Five men are now facing charges of Attempted Murder and other charges after a shooting late Monday night critically injured a two-year-old boy.

The shooting happened just after 10:30pm in the 1300 block of Jefferson Avenue on Des Moines Northside.

Witnesses also reported that a gray or silver Nissan Rogue was seen leaving the scene.

About two hours after the shooting Iowa State Patrol troopers found a crashed vehicle along I-80 in Dallas County.
