(Des Moines, Iowa) -- A Des Moines Artist is getting close to completing her New Year's Resolution - drawing one portrait of an Iowan wearing their favorite mask, every day for 90 days.
Julie Houghton posted to Facebook asking followers to send in a selfie wearing their favorite mask, and the response was overwhelming. Houghton selects a selfie, then traces, colors and shades the drawing. She says she hopes to display all of the portraits at a local art gallery when the pandemic is over.
Houghton will complete her "90 Days of Heroes" project at the end of this month.
