A Bill to create much tougher penalties for rioters cleared the Iowa Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday.
If it becomes law, rioters who injure others or use laser pointers will be facing Felony charges. And if you want to block roads, you'll be looking at a disorderly conduct charge.
Democrats are not happy!
"This is mean-spirited," Senator Tony Bisignano. "This almost tells me that what you did last summer was not sincere. It was opportunistic. We stopped the chokehold in 2020. Wow."
