IOWA - Iowa is joining the launch of a website where people can find COVID-19 vaccine providers.
KCRG-TV reports VaccineFinder will serve as a second option to the state's already established site known as Vaccinate Iowa.
VaccineFinder will send people to pre-screening or scheduling websites, and will list providers that have vaccines in stock.
The move comes after numerous complaints about difficulty scheduling vaccine appointments.
KCRG reports the first vaccine portal the state used had a number of flaws, with about 20 different counties were wrongly listed as having no vaccine providers.
The state released Vaccinate Iowa last Friday, which fixed those problems and included information such as when residents are eligible for vaccines.
With VaccineFinder, Iowa has joined six other states to supply the latest information on COVID-19 vaccine availability at certain providers and pharmacies in each state.
VaccineFinder is a beta launch, which means it may contain bugs that’ll need to be addressed.
