Lincoln Expands Housing and Utility Assistance

(Lincoln, NE) -- The City of Lincoln has made over 13-million dollars of federal funding available to residents for rental and utility assistance.

"We are fortunate that the federal government has stepped up in a major way with direct aid to cities that will help us more fully surmount the economic impacts of the pandemic," said Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird.

The city is expanding their network of community partners to ensure equitable distribution of funding.

Mayor Baird also said the city also expects additional funding from the American Rescue Plan in the next two months.
