DES MOINES, Iowa -- A warming trend bringing temperatures into the 80s this Easter Sunday begins today.
The National Weather Service says Iowans can expect temperatures in the 50s and 60s today with a bit of gusty wind.
"It'll be a big improvement over the last couple of days." said Meteorologist Rod Donovan. "Saturday is shaping up to be a fantastic day."
He says Saturday could have highs in the 70s with lighter wind which will make it a bit more pleasant to be outside.
"Saturday will be a little bit calmer, overall."
Donovan says we're turning the corner into spring, with thunderstorms expected Tuesday and Wednesday.
"Temperatures through that time [are] still looking quite nice with highs in the 70s and maybe a few 80s on Monday."
